142 million USD of losses due to storms

Chinese insurance companies have sustained losses amounting to approximately 900 million CNY (142 million USD) following the violent storms which hit the Beijing region last July 21, with record high rainfall in 60 years. These storms claimed the lives of 77 people in the capital. Losses include 370 million CNY (58 million USD) of motor damages and 440 million CNY (70 million USD) of damage to property ones.
